Inspired by Maria Gripes’ character. Rosilda turned voiceless when her mother drowned herself in the lake. Now Rosilda communicate through writing down her thoughts in a book that she always carries with her. In her paintings one can also see that her mother is still very present to her, haunting her. She has seen her many times turning up like ”white shadows”, as she calls them. Her mother once let plant a garden with only white roses, she was told that it would purify the soul.
